He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology Pre-Medicine with a double minor in Biology and Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA. He is currently a 2nd year Master of Science student in Marriage & Family Therapy at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

He has served as the Student Director for new student orientation, the Chief of Staff for the Student Government Association, and the Spring Fest event chair at Xavier University. He has also worked several years as a Lead Counselor and Science Teacher for a Summer Arts and Athletic Camp in Dallas, Texas. Such activities demonstrate his commitment to education through building reciprocal relationships and his involvement with the surrounding community. In terms of his scholarship, Mr. Jackson is well on his way to a bright career. Prior to coming to UNLV, he traveled here as a presenter at the American College Personnel Association's National Conference. His group's presentation, "Students Helping Students: Facilitating Collaborative Learning Experiences", focuses on their experiences as student instructional leaders and the techniques used to work with students.

His current interests are dealing with at-risk populations and low income households dealing with divorce like behavior. He wants to research the effects that it has on children's development and confidence levels. He plans to continue to pursue his aspirations by attaining a doctoral degree after the completion of his program. His dreams are to be able to research, teach, practice therapy, as well as inspire others from low income populations to rise above their surroundings and become successful. He is not working towards his goals to be one of the first to make it out of the troubling environments. He is working towards his goals so he will not be the last. He truly live by the motto "inspire before you expire" and uses his accomplishments as tools to motivate the next generation to believe in the potential that they possess.
